Zlatah Leah was good at sewing and churning milk into butter. She could play ball as well as any of her brothers, and—to the delight of her siblings—she
could pick the apples off the highest branches of the tree growing in their front yard.

But most of all, Zlatah Leah was known for the challahs that she made.
